Basic course in Canine and Equine Myofascial Kinetic Lines
“Myofascial Kinetic Lines in Horses and Dogs”
Understanding the fascia system and its function in relation to locomotion and posture is essential in advancing our knowledge and clinical understanding.
The fascia system integrates the body in a three-dimensional network, which extends to all structures in the body. The functions of the fascia are numerous and span from purely mechanical to many interconnected functions, as well as communications with the central nervous system.
In this course kinetic myofascial lines in the horse and dog will be presented and explained in theory and in practice. Inspired by Dr. Tom Myers (Myofascial Trains), eleven equine and canine myofascial kinetic lines have been dissected and isolated.
Clinically addressing these kinetic lines as part of our therapeutic protocols can positively effect the body’s ability to change and heal.
Detailed knowledge of the lines is a valuable tool to evaluate, understand and influence the body balance, functionality and compensatory mechanisms under normal and pathological conditions.
