Our former IVCA secretary Helga Thorwartl passed away on the 4th of October.

Helga started to build up a functioning IVCA secretary on the 29th of July 2006. She was a reliable partner for our members  and the school owners. Her calm, determined nature was always a great help for everyone involved in the IVCA.
To enjoy her retirement Helga gave the office in younger hands and handed over to Kirstin. Helga’s last years were marked by serious illness. On the 4th of October she has lost that fight and passed away. We will always keep her in honorable memory. Our sincere condolences go to her family.

For the MC: Marion Thurner, Claudia da Rocha Patricio, Victoria McKinney, Jennifer Henrickson

For the ICCAC: Kathrin Lösing, Ute Körner, Petra Peer, Inga Lösing, Marion Thurner, Jasmin Semmelmeyer, Anna Lena Nissen

For the IVCA office: Kirstin Fiebig

Thank you IVCA members. We would like to thank all of our IVCA members who continue to support and promote the highest standards in the animal chiropractic profession. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the IVCA team.

IVCA Member Spotlight

I am a veterinarian who has practiced for 19 years on small and large animals and from Mexico to Alaska. Physical wellness has always been a primary passion with a focus on recognizing and alleviating discomfort for animals so that they can return to functional and athletic lives.

I am an integrative practitioner with skills in acupuncture, chiropractic, joint injection and shockwave therapy and I am Certified as a Pain practitioner by the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management. I have lead and worked alongside a small animal veterinary and physical therapy team for the last 10 years. As a special niche, the last 5 years have been largely involved with animals with behavior problems and the physical and mental rehabilitation they need to return to being a part of their family.

Currently, I have a small house call practice in Denver, Colorado and I do consulting for biologics companies with innovative products for arthritis care and education around pain management.

My name is Patrick Rebadow, DC. I graduated from Logan University with my Doctorate in Chiropractic and a Master in Sport Science and Rehabilitation. I quickly fell in love with how powerful the chiropractic adjustment can be, not just for simple aches and pains but for all functions of the body. There's just something about having a hand in helping restore the body's natural ability to heal that lights my fire. Animals have always had a special place in my life, having two cats and a dog at the moment; and I knew I wanted to work with them in some way, even marrying a veterinarian. After attending Options for Animals, I started my mobile animal chiropractic services with Restored Chiropractic, servicing Raleigh, North Carolina and the surrounding areas. I'm so excited to be a part of this amazing profession and community and to continue serving those that don't have a voice.
