Hello, my name is Mari Bardalen Wiggen.
I am a human and animal chiropractor, living near Hønefoss in Norway. The reason I wanted to become a chiropractor was to be able work with animals. I graduated from University of Southern Denmark in 2008, and went to Backbone Academy to get certified in animal chiropractic. In 2016 I took the IVCA exam and became a member. I also have been involved in the board of the Norwegian Veterinary Chiropractic association for many years.
I have been working with horses since 2009, the last two-tree years also with dogs. I am specially interested in the communication between horse and rider, and therefore I also do rider analysis to help improve the function of both rider and horse.

Hello, my name is Dr. Silke Meermann,
I am a small animal veterinarian in Bergkamen, Germany.
After graduating from Hannover School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002, I took my veterinary chiropractic training in 2004/2005. After that I also completed a training in small animal physiotherapy and rehabilitation, as well as in structural canine osteopathy.
Having taken the IVCA-exam in May 2005, I have already been doing this for more than 20 years by now.
…and I am still grateful every day, that veterinary chiropractic really changed my way of seeing my patients and seeing my own role as a doctor: I have no longer to decide between „healthy vs. ill“ nor do I have to „save“ or „heal“ my patients – I can just lend my hands and skills to them to help them find a better balance, to help them move more freely, to releave them from pain! I find that extremely satisfying and that is something that makes me really content.
So I can easily picture myself doing this for another 20 years until I can happily retire 😉

I started my practice in 2017 as Singapore’s first certified animal chiropractor, combining my love for animals with my background in chiropractic care. I graduated from Macquarie University in 2013 with a Master of Chiropractic, and a few years later, in July 2017, I took my journey further by becoming certified in animal chiropractic through the Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic in Kansas, USA.
I’ve always believed that human and animal health are closely connected, and I saw a chance to bring the benefits of chiropractic care to pets here in Singapore; something that wasn’t widely available at the time. As a passionate advocate for animal well-being, my goal is simple: to help our furry friends stay healthy, comfortable, and moving well.
