This course was put together with the desire to modernize the approach of the new (or established and practicing) animal chiropractor. We aim to help animal chiropractors understand, assess, and approach the most common musculoskeletal disorders they might encounter in clinical practice + help animal chiropractors develop a structured approach for the branding, marketing, and growth of their business.

Learning objectives:
– Learn the neural, skeletal, and muscular anatomy of canine patients
– Develop a systematic approach for the evaluation of canine patients with neuro- musculoskeletal disorders
– Recognize the most common disorders / pathological presentations of canine patients
– Hands on time to practice evaluations and evaluate pathological patients
– Create a structured approach to branding and marketing for optimal business success
– Understand how to work collaboratively will all members of the animal care team

Speaker(s):
Kristen Christensen DVM – Dr. Kristen is a graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced veterinary medicine in California, Arizona and New Mexico. She started out in California doing general practice, with an emphasis on equine reproduction, and made her way to the racetracks of Arizona and New Mexico where she expanded upon her love of sports medicine. While striving to help athletes perform at their best, she was exposed to animal chiropractic. Dr. Kristen attended ACES (Animal Chiropractic Education Source), in Meridian, TX where she obtained the specialized training necessary to become an animal chiropractor. Upon completion of this course, she then passed the certification test through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Dr. Kristen now runs a mobile animal chiropractic business serving horses and dogs across Phoenix, AZ.
Kaitlyn Lackey DC – Dr. Katie is a graduate of Parker University in Dallas, Texas with her Doctorate in Chiropractic + Bachelor’s in Anatomy and Bachelor’s in Health and Wellness. She attended and completed her animal chiropractic training through Parker University’s Animal Chiropractic program then went on to become AVCA certified. Dr. Katie has practiced human chiropractic for 2 years and then went on to build her own animal chiropractic business. Over 7 years, Dr. Katie has grown from a mobile only practice, to working out of multiple vet offices, to now having her own brick and mortar. She has also pursued additional training through the University of Tennessee’s prestigious CCRP program. In addition to running a strictly animal chiropractic business, Dr. Katie also runs an online course, FB group, and podcast tailored to meet the needs of animal chiropractic providers

Cost - $750 (lunch included Sat, continental breakfast provided Sat/Sun)

IVCA CPD Approval - 19 hours of specific animal chiropractic
