We would like to welcome our newest board member Dr. Doris Börner and introduce her to the members.
Welcome Doris!
Dr. Doris Börner studied veterinary medicine in Berlin and Hannover until 1997. After her doctoral thesis and several years in private clinics, she completed a residency program of the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN) at the Animal Hospital of the University of Bern (Switzerland). She works as Medical Advisor and Head of the Small Animal and Equine Department for Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Switzerland, is internationally certified in acupuncture and, IVCA member since 2011 and runs a veterinary practice for neurology and integrative pain management in the north of germany (www.iuvet.de).
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Börner is the CEO of the German Society for Equine Medicine e.V. (GPM) and co-editor of the journal “Hands on”. She is active with the Fascia Research Society (FRS) and coaches students and young veterinarians during their professional careers.
Her national and international lecture activities focus on the neurophysiological interactions of pain perception, trauma, fascia and the development of interdisciplinary therapeutic approaches.
